What The People Have Spoken About Warfare 1917

“First, I have to say that I was really pleased to see a game set during the First World War, as it is far too uncommon compared to WW2.
The gameplay is great, you got to carefully plan you attacks if you don’t want them to end up as a pile of corpses laying in the no-man’s land. Which is a rather realistic depiction of the fighting, and that also deserves to be praised.
By the way, good job on the units, all of them are balanced AND useful (not always the case in video games).
The graphics are great, like the sounds but the soldiers movements sometimes seem to be “stiff” (they’re still far from bad though).
The terrain lacks a bit of relief, small ridges/ravines, shell holes or even ruins would have been welcomed to break the landscape’s monotony and to provide cover. On the other hand, I doubt the landscape was really enjoyable back in 1917 :)
Some “heavy” fortifications may have been interesting, like log & earth bunkers or maybe bomb shelters connected to trenches (so you could either shelter the troops present in the trench or place reserves in case your”frontline” troops get slaughtered). To avoid breaking the game balance, you could add engineers equipped with explosives, or even better, flamethrowers.
On the whole, a very good game depicting a war that shouldn’t be forgotten.
PS Would you please make a sequel with French units ? I’d really like to kick some German butts with the French army and WW1 is one of the rare occasion where it’s possible… :)”

“what i really think is bullshit is that the enemies weappon support(mortors,artillery bombardment ect.) is completed before mines i mean like wtf? how come xhe gets to use his while mine is like only halfway done pending?? plz make this problem fair it’s kind of annoying n makes the game not fun :(”

“Well — IDK maybe german (the hard one) is easier! I just took it 9-0 (NO LOSSES!) had 2812xp total and 2100 or so bonus xp. I thought I was going to lose the last round but somehow I broke their morale…best of luck!”

“Well - just for kicks I played it again. Beat the last level within just a couple minutes. Built two tanks, sent in two sets of the level one guys - first five all died on mines - second set were lucky. then i put in an officer. But I won by the time the officer showed up I’m guessing. I`m thinking that your tanks can`t get too close or you don`t win? idk…good luck ya`ll! btw - I had 2400 bonus xp and 2700+ xp total. not that its great or anything but it helps!”

Haha! Beat the last level for the british.
Key: use gas like hell on infantry, save all your big stuff, mortars included on tanks.
Also, only build tanks.
